To remedy the situation authors propose to introduce into consideration Theorem 1 (its proof is given). The use of this theorem is illustrated by the following example: considered is a proof of theorem on existence of a ring of polynomials in one variable over a commutative ring with unity. Authors’ approach makes it possible to eliminate some logical gaps of the course, provides a means for proving the most complicated theorems of the course by unified scheme (in 5 steps), sets force the exposition of theoretical material in a manner more precise, clear, structured and comprehensible.

Vasylievа S.A. The quality of education and the professional status of secondary school teachers at the beginning of XXI century
Abstract. The problem of teachers’ professional status is becoming important all over the world. Scientific researches’ analysis has shown that the notion of “professional status” and the correlation between the notions of “social status” and “global status” have not been clearly defined. We are differentiating these notions and conceder the notion of professional status as the part of social status and both of these statuses form global status. The teacher’s professional status is considered as teacher’s status in the society (among colleagues, in the system of education). It is defined by the results of teacher’s professional activity which is the demonstration of some inner characteristics. These characteristics are professional use of pedagogical knowledge, skills, abilities and professional techniques, which form the authority, respect and teachers’ prestige in the society, among colleagues, students, their parents and oth- er members of community. If one looks comprehensively at this definition of professional status he understands that it is closely re- lated to the results of teachers’ activities. There are a lot of researches devoted to the quality of education (TIMSS, PIRLS, PIZA) and these researches are the characteristics of teachers’ activity effectiveness. Ukraine took part in two international researches: TIMSS-2007 and TIMSS-2011. The results of these researches showed low quality of education in Ukraine and this proves teachers’ low professional status. To improve the existing situation we think that it is necessary to improve teacher education programs, to put additional investments into those programs; to reward teachers for good work results, and not to analyze teachers’ work with respect to the number of classes held in some period. It is also necessary to improve educational programs in pedagogical universities ac- cording to word tendencies in education. Ukraine has to take part in different international researches on quality of education and take actions with respect to the results of these researches. People’s attitude to teachers’ profession has to be changed, the prestige of teachers’ work has to grow. We have to analyze and decrease the number of reports teachers have to provide and at the same time to decrease the number of school inspections with their quality improvement. We have to work on teachers’ and students’ culture growth, for that we have to pay more attention to school subjects devoted to personal culture and in the case of necessity even im- plement some additional subjects. We have to encourage collaboration between parents and schools. Admission standards for peda- gogical educational establishments have to be stricter. We have to implement graduation examination lessons and brining up activi- ties for future teachers. The course of school teacher status formation has to be implemented. And the challenge of corruption in the secondary educational establishments has to be seriously taken.

Solodka A.K. The effect of gaining experience in cross-cultural interaction in the formation of availability of students to in- teract across cultures
Abstract. The article describes some aspects of the experimental work on the formation of students’ availability to interact across cultures in the process of gaining experience in interaction. Gaining experience of cross-cultural interaction is understood as a num- ber of interrelated and of successive stages. Experimental work is presented as organized activity of students with the help of Webquests, as a form of project work. Analysis of the experimental work results led to the conclusion that the experience of constructive cross-cultural interaction, facing the future prospect – likely situations of interaction, acquires personal meaning for each student. Context of interaction puts its participants to commit an implicit choice that depends on their personal position. Path of transfor- mation attitude to other cultures illustrates the process of cultural sensitivity development: from denial of cultural differences to their perceived stage as part of oneself, one’s own identity. The multiplicity of cultural realities fit into the context of personal interaction of participants and allows them to analyze, assess the situation from the point of view of other cultures and make a deliberate choice of the best model of behavior according to the context of interaction. Thus, enhancing the experience in cross-cultural interaction causes some personal changes of participants’ motivational, cognitive, emotional, evaluative and behavioral levels, affects the for- mation of the terminal and constructive personality traits that make up the availability to interact across cultures.
