О. М. Dyachok Reculiarities of Buchach Basilian monastery architectural planning
Abstract. Today Ukrainian society is going through socio-political and ethno-confessional transformations. This process results in the growth of interest in the social and cultural role of the Church, the relationship of national, cultural and religious factors in the lives of people. An example of this relationship is the missionary role of Ukrainian monasteries. The oldest monastic community in Ukraine is the Order of Saint Basil the Great. They appeared in Buchach in 1712 when Stefan Potocki invited them to establish a theological school. The article examines the influence of the Basilian monastery on the architecture of the town of Buchach. The history of the construction, as well as the volumetric and planning structure of the monastery complex, have been analyzed. The relationship between the monastery composition and the town landscape is analyzed. The significance of the Basilian monastery for the ideological coloration of the town as an important archi- tectural, artistic and socio-cultural centre of Buchach is determined.

Abstract. Market reforms in Ukraine’s economy assumed the drastic changes in the system of ownership relations, that should to create the conditions for the formation and development of the so-called middle class, which, according to many scientists, is an im- portant factor in ensuring the socio-economic and political stability in the countries with developed market economies. The relation- ship (inverse mutual influence) of the entrepreneurial activities and problems of forming a middle class is substantiated. On the one hand, the private entrepreneurship is the basis for the forming a middle class (in the form of business entities), on the other hand – the forming a middle class is the main condition for the successful development of entrepreneurship. Mechanism for promoting the for- mation of a powerful middle class consists in the fact that this model of the development should act in the regime of fast economic renewal. This conclusion is based on the survey of different categories of population who identify themselves with the middle class. For these people the factors of the state socio-economic policy, state social guarantees, the availability of a permanent job, access to vocational education, motivation for entrepreneurship are of great importance.The approaches for the improvement of the formation mechanism of the middle class is proposed. We have established that the priorities in this direction are the adjustments of the system of priorities of socio-economic development, the formation of civil society, the formation of new model of consumption, that will meet a decent standard of life and stimulate the economic (labor and business) activity; the maintenance of high rates of economic growth with the simultaneous counteraction of strengthening the economic inequality of the population; an active anti-inflation policy as an important factor in strengthening the economic position of the middle strata of the population; changes in tax policy; deshadowing of economy and incomes; reforming of income policy which ensure the outpacing rates growth in real wages; an increase in the demand for labor with simultaneous rapid elimination of the artificial retention the surplus labor in enterprises; reform of the education sector with the maximum approximation of its quality to the world standards; the completion of the pension reform; priority development of education as the main direction of investment in human capital; a significant build-up of the country’s intellectual potential; promoting the entrepreneurship.

N. P. Klymenko To the question of Ukrainian women's movement in Galicia at the beginning of 20th century in epistolary style written by Nastya Grinchenko (based on literary works of Nastya Grinchenko to her parents)
Abstract: The features of the women’s movement in Galicia in the early 20th century were analyzed. The grounds of its features and activities were clarified through the literary works written in epistolary style by Nastya Grinchenko, who was a member of the women’s association «Ukrainian Women’s Circle». Such areas of activities of the «Circle» as education, charity, mutual assistance, publishing, struggle to overcome stereotypes about women and improving of the existing social order were also enlightened in this article. Moreover women were also engaged in various social and political movements, including movement toward socialism.

N. V. Pуsarska Resumption of tractors production at the Kharkov Tractor Plant in post-war years
In the article the aspects of the Kharkov Tractor Plant restoration after the liberation of city from fascist occupation are considered. The work covers the period from 1943 (re-evacuation) until 1954. The tasks which were solved by collective of the plant for providing of resuming of technics production and repair, including communication with the organizations-subcontractors was selected. The role of enterprise management in this process is shown. The problems and prospects of the plant development in the post-war period are out- lined.

The contribution of foreign foundations into the study of Ternopil history has been analyzed in the article. The author focuses on Shevchenko Scientific Society, which established Regional Research Foundation that published digests on Ternopil region. Great prominence has been given to Volyn Research Institute, which appeared in July 21, 1951 in Winnipeg and to separate centers of researchers of Volyn Region in New York, Cleveland, Buffalo (USA), Toronto, Winnipeg (Canada), which were founded in 1949 and which still issue scientific collections, historical essays on Volyn Region.

Annotation. The article analyzes the content of the concept – political image. The authors examine the steps, methods and means of forming a political image of the state. It is concluded that the image of the state is a kind of indicator of its economic strength, the level of a country’s culture development, keeping of the rights and freedoms of citizens, level of social protection of population etc.

M. M. Nahorna Legal and political aspects of the projects rationale of the administrative-territorial, budget and other decentralized reforms in Ukraine
Abstract. The article provides the analysis of the legal and political aspects of the projects rationale of the administrative-territorial, budget and other decentralized reforms in Ukraine. The main attention is focused upon the review of financial capability of the local self- government’s authorities to which the bulk of credentials is delegated, as far as the community is the first and foremost fundamental unit in the system of administrative-territorial division of Ukraine. Thus, the very implementation of the decentralized reform through the union of the territorial communities can guarantee the transition of the local self-government to a new level.

Abstract. Discusses approaches to the definition of the classification criteria of individual and collective bearers of political will. The author made an attempt to highlight a few basic criteria for the classification of the properties of the bearers the political will of a general nature. Special attention is paid to consideration of the classification criteria of collective bearers of political will on the example of the legislative and representative organs of state power, as well as based on the analysis of the concept of political will О. Kryzhanovskaya.

Abstract. The article deals with the problem of newswomen security under the conditions of conflicts, in battle zones. The risks which such conditions can pose for newswomen are described. The attempt of monitoring the presentation of the security problems of women’s work in hard conditions in international documents about journalists protection and security was made. The results of the research showed that the main international documents do not give the sufficient coverage of the problem.

O. Iakymenko Participation in horizon 2020: impact on transformation of higher education in ukraine
Abstract: It is determined that changing social, economic and political priorities under current conditions necessitates the establishment of a new education management system, the change of traditional mechanisms (caused by centralized management) and the establishment of new mechanisms of state influence with their re-orientation from implementing control functions to regulation ones. This is possible on the basis of the systemic transition from principles of industrial policy to principles of creating an educational infrastructure of social transformation. It is established that the real autonomy for universities, the formulation of their own develop- ment strategy and competitiveness, the use of international standards, the creation of high-quality educational programs, the imple- mentation of a quality assessment system and the development of an effective economic policy of universities should be provided. It is proposed to consider the international cooperation as a basic and primary factor in optimizing the state regulation of educational sphere.

Abstract .European Social Democracy concluded the futility of violent (revolutionary) way of social system changing. Evolutional reorganization of public relations requires combining the efforts of the as wide as possible circle of followers, representatives of different social, ethnic, religious, etc. groups. Their interests and preferences can vary in a wide range. The political force task is to find common vector for effective joint of the democratic forces. Abstract: The article analyzes statistical indicators of diversity of Ukrainian publishing houses which published non- fiction books (a case study of biography books) during 2010-2013. Following the analysis the main subjective and objective indicators of Ukrainian non-fiction books during this period have been identified. The results have been compared with data of previous years.

Abstract. The paper explores the multidimensional nature of knowledge in the context of its consideration as a factor in the development of society. It is concluded about the existence of knowledge as a factor of social development at least in three forms. In the first subjective form the knowledge, as states of mind, is the subjective spiritual factor of social development. In the second codified form the knowledge, as the type of information in the sign, symbolic kind, acts as an objective spiritual factor. In the third materialized form the knowledge as the means and other elements of social production, is the mediated by practice material factor in the development of society.

Abstract. Women’s political advancement is still be accompanied by а series of obstacles which becomes more obvious during the election period. The article investigates the portrayal of women in the political advertisements of the nine political forces during the 2017 Parliamentary election campaigning period in Armenia. Although 30% of the candidates are women, the female candidates appeared significantly less in the political advertisements. The portrayal of women in the political ads majorly coincides with the gender stereotypes present in the society.

D. Cheshmedzhieva-Stoycheva The Image of the Refugee: Real and Imagined (Based on Examples from the Bulgarian and the British Media)
Abstract: The paper aims at analyzing the image of refugees based on a corpus of more than 500 articles published in two Bulgarian and two British newspapers over a period of two months in 2013 and one month in 2017. Using CDA as the main method of analysis, the study traces out the similarities and differences of presentation in the verbal (use of terminology, direct speech, first person singular accounts) and non-verbal components (pictures) used in the analysed articles and concludes that the image of refugees presented in the British media is more objective and comprehensive than the one in the Bulgarian media.

Abstract: The article is devoted to the study of various gender models of people’s behavior in interethnic conflicts. Feelings and emotions in men and women are the same, but they are expressed in different ways, with varying degrees of intensity. The gender aspect makes clear the understanding of how different verbal, non-verbal means function, depending on sociocultural characteristics. This research can help understand the emotional outlook of the world by communicants and reflect it in communication depending on gender. The prevailing male model of behavior in interethnic conflicts is expressed by aggressive behavior. Various nationalistic attitudes of men are related to issues of politics and statehood. Women are prevailingly inclined to compromise and display national- ism only at the domestic level. In conflict situations, men often resort to foul language, invective vocabulary, they often use different offensive nicknames, which indicate a certain attitude towards other nationalities.
