M. Stepanets An organisational framework of Masters of Education in universities in Canada

https://doi.org/10.31174/SEND-PP2021-256IX100-06

Abstract. The paper considers the organisation of Masters programs in leading Canadian universities (Ottawa, McGill and Alberta Universities). Four options for completing a Master’s program are clarified. To complete a Master’s program you must complete 10- 12 courses lasting from 12 months to 2-4 years. Asynchronous, hybrid as well as face-to-face courses are used during the course. The Canadian Qualifications Framework states that any Masters program builds on the knowledge and competence acquired during the relevant  Bachelor  program  and  requires  more  specialised  knowledge  and  intellectual  thinking.  It  is  discovered  that  the  academic process  in  Canadian  Universities  of  teacher  education,  as  well  as  in other higher  education institutions in  Canada,  is  individually regulated.

K. Ye. Stupak Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL): present and future (as a Finnish innovation)

https://doi.org/10.31174/SEND-PP2021-256IX100-07

Abstract. The paper considers Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) as one of the approaches to achieve the purpose of learning foreign languages, represented in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages adopted by the Council of Europe in 2001. To acquire a language means not merely to obtain communication skills in one, two or even three languages, studied separately, but “to develop a linguistic repertoire in which all language skills are present,” as mentioned in the European Recommen- dations on Language Education. People who possess even little knowledge can achieve a certain level of communication proficiency using all their linguistic “tools”, experimenting with alternative forms of expression in different languages and dialects, using para- linguistic means (mimics, gestures, facial expressions, etc.) and radically simplifying their use of language [1; P. 19]. Researchers in Finland, whose success in the education system is recognized worldwide, are searching for methods and approaches to achieve this purpose of foreign language education. One of their attempts is Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL). The paper reveals: the history and the origins of CLIL. According to C. Nieminen it includes the method of immersion, created and widely used in Canada. This research also outlines the advantages and factors limiting the usage of CLIL, as well as the prospects for further implementation of this approach to the study of foreign languages in different countries. In Ukraine this training method has not yet become widely applied, only some cases of CLIL implementation take place in specialized schools and in higher education institutions at foreign language departments. Therefore, according to national scholars Ukraine focuses on improving the level of foreign language proficiency, profound research and implementation of the CLIL methodology in schools and higher education institutions all over the country.

S. M. Yatsyna, V. I. Movchan The Role of Integrated Interdisciplinary Links in the Study of the Mother Tongue in Primary School

https://doi.org/10.31174/SEND-PP2021-256IX100-10

Abstract.  The  article  focuses  on  an  important  problem  stipulated  by  cardinal  changes  in  the  theory  and  practice  of  training  and education of children of primary school age. Its topicality is caused by the implementation of the New Ukrainian School Concept, the essence of which is to change the teaching methods of primary school children bringing them most closely to play activities that is a characteristic feature of mental and physical development of children in primary school age. Purpose. To clarify the importance of interdisciplinary  connections  and  interdisciplinary  integration  in  Ukrainian  language  lessons  in  the  primary  grades  of  the  New Ukrainian School, to outline some aspects of the realization of the essence and importance of this phenomenon. Methods. Analysis of  scientific literature on the problem, generalization and systematization of the collected material, modeling of integrated processes. Result.  The  article  focuses  on  various  aspects  of  the  implementation  of  integrated  interdisciplinary  links  in  Ukrainian  language lessons,  including  elements  of  classes  in  language  and  reading,  language  and  mathematics,  language  and  science,  language  and computer science, lan-guage and art. Due to the fact that the new curriculum for primary school students offers the introduction of such subjects as “I explore the world”, “I am in the world”, “Environment”, “Health Technologies”, “Natural Science” having an inte- grated  nature  in  themselves,  it  allows  the  primary  school  teacher  to  expand  the  interdisciplinary  links  of  disciplines  studied  by younger  students.  Originality.  The  article  emphasizes  that  modern  scholars  propose  to  distinguish  between  the  con-cepts  of  the “integrated learning” and “interdisciplinary links”, which until recently, were interpreted in the literature as similar phenomena. Based  on  certain  theoretical  principles  of  the  integrated  and  interdisciplinary  links,  different  options  for   their   use   in   native   language lessons  in  primary  school  have  been  proposed.Conclusion.  Thus,  the  teacher  should analyze the educational material from the proposed  subjects,  choose  topics  that  are  similar  in  content  and  purpose,  syn-thesize  this  material  and  organically  combine educational material.

Zhou Xulin Personal qualities of future personnel managers in the structure of professional training

https://doi.org/10.31174/SEND-PP2021-256IX100-12

Abstract. The personal qualities of future personnel managers in the structure of professional training are theoretically substantiated. The author presented different perspectives of scientists on this issue, which granted grounds to scientifically prove the author’s position. It is established that as a result of professional training future personnel managers acquire such personal qualities as: conceptual thinking – the ability to imagine the activities of the enterprise in general; efficiency and flexibility of thinking – the ability to quickly navigate in a new situation; organizational skills – the ability to organize, interest people; sociability – the ability to communicate, find  compromises;  intelligence  –  high  mental  abilities;  ability  to find  an  individual  approach  to  each  employee;  demanding  –  the ability to weigh risk. It is proved that personnel management is one of the key tasks of the production process, because the effectiveness  of  this  process  depends  on  human  resources,  which  generate  innovative  ideas  using  innovative  technologies.  The  maximum profit at the enterprise depends on highly effective activity of the personnel, its proper professional training and qualification of human resources. Personnel management is a rather complex process, because personal relationships are a complex process that affects productivity, production, the internal climate of the enterprise.

H. Sokolova Temporal aspect of self-image in older preschool children with mental retardation

https://doi.org/10.31174/SEND-PP2021-256IX100-14

Abstract. The article presents the results of an empirical study of the features of the temporal aspects of the image of the self in children with mental retardation. It is shown that the most adequate way of knowing time can be selectivity in the perception of life events, the subjectivity of their assessments, arbitrariness in interaction with time. Subjective time is an important component of the development of personal self- awareness. Unfortunately, in the modern domestic scientific space the temporal aspects of self-consciousness are presented on normative samples. For children with special educational needs, there are no such studies. The results of the empirical study significantly expand the boundaries of the notion of the peculiarities of children’s self-awareness of mental retardation associated with the time of their own lives, as it contributes to the development of their self-organization and further inclusion in social life. The study was conducted with comparison groups, but since most of the results of children in the mental retardation group 6-7 years are similar to children 4-5 years, the research interest was focused on only one age sample of children with mental retardation. It was stated that they have a weaker attitude to age groups than in the group of 4-5 years of normative development, and the content of the age itself is not reflected by any visual means. In addition, temporal elections were made situationally, and the motivation for elections was rarely realized and verbalized. It turned out that children with mental retardation have difficulty describing their past, the emotional component of memories is often negative. A diagnostic game was developed, in the process of which children’s behavior was monitored according to the parameters: acceptance of the task, interest in such activities; involvement in the game situation as an indicator of motivational activity; role claims; the impact of a delayed goal on behavior and activities; ways to achieve the goal; memorizing the original meaning of the goal. It was found that children with mental retardation do not always accept and retain the game task, they rarely remember anything more than the fact of action in the near future, they do not remember the role respon- sibilities of players.

O. Zabolotna Personal particularities of the ability to goal-setting at different stages of personality’s self-realization

https://doi.org/10.31174/SEND-PP2021-256IX100-16

Abstract. The article states that goal-setting is an integral formation, the meaning of life, on the way of self-realization, by means of which a person regulates and organizes his own life. It is demonstrated that in the structure of the ability to goal-setting there are the following  components:  intellectual,  personal,  activity.  The  personal  (individual-personal  qualities,  value  system)  and  activity (volitional qualities) components in women at different stages of self-realization have been studied and compared. It is established that students who are at the stage of self-understanding and self-perception are not capable of responsible goal setting because they have an  ideal  self-image,  overestimated  self-esteem,  underdeveloped  reflection  and  reduced  efficiency of  adaptation,  conflict  of values (universalism – achievement, security – independence, independence – comfort), a pessimistic view of future-oriented events without developed volitional qualities. It was found that female students have certain goals, but are not always able to present a more or less clear picture of the desired future, so the ultimate goal may not be justified and is unstable. It is shown that women at the stage of self- realization live in the present, have a real idea of themselves, they lack full self-satisfaction, which with a strong self-esteem and generally positive assessment of their personality encourages respondents to further self-improvement. It has been shown that women use  volitional  qualities  when  achieving  goals,  have  a  conflict  of  values  (stimulation  –  security),  which  is  characteristic  of  mature adaptive individuals, with a certain level of dignity and flexibility.
