https://doi.org/10.31174/SEND-PP2018-180VI74-04

Abstract.  The  article  deals  with  the  analysis  of  the  views  of  scientists  on  the  problem  of  group  interaction  of  future  specialists.  Group interaction is considered as a means to increase the effectiveness of professional training of future specialists. The actuality of the problem of group interaction of agrarians in their professional activities is due to the fact that agricultural work is collective in nature and its productivity depends on the coordination of efforts of many specialists in the agrarian sector. The professional training of future agrarians should take into account the need to form students’ readiness for group interaction. Organization of educational activities of future agrarians during foreign language study on the basis of group interaction allows students to develop their ability to be engaged into common activities at the level of partnership, cooperation and co-creation. As a result of the study, effective teaching methods have been identified in order to update the group  interaction  of  future  agrarians  in  the  process  of  learning  foreign  language.  So  the  features  of  use  of  group  interaction  in  foreign language classes are highlighted as well. The didactic possibilities of the case-method and the method of discussion on actualization of group interaction of future agrarians during the process of foreign language study are also described. It is established that the use of these interactive methods facilitates the activation of cognitive activity of students, improves socially important and professional qualities of future agrarians (ability to analyze, work in a team, think critically, defend one’s own view etc.).

H. Holos Kalocagathia on national values (historical context of value education)

https://doi.org/10.31174/SEND-PP2018-180VI74-05

Abstract. The national value education in Ukraine currently goes about a set of values, attitudes, behaviours and competencies that a society aspires to transmit to its upcoming generation (National value education curriculum (2004). Its content holds Ukraine educators’ special interest for several reasons. Firstly, despite officially presented, National value education curriculum at the majority of schools is not used as statutory guidance. That consequently leads to conclusion about no unified school quality standards for value education to fulfill. Secondly, due to 2016 school reform ‘Nova Ukrainska shkola’ (New Ukrainian school), lots of educators’ and scholars’ concerns are related to triad ‘parents – school – community’ cooperation which implementation is sufficiently influenced by reminiscences from previous paradigm from one hand (e.g. learning outcomes at schools remain as priority; class-room discus- sions lack contemporary relevant issues for youth; extra curriculum activities in comparison to Western countries are artificial, as well as insufficient; authoritarian classroom management still prevails), and the objective antinomy within Ukraine population from other (e.g. poor social status of a teacher, societal problems such as corruption, nepotism, migrant intensification among youth, do have strong negative influence on new generation outlook). As far as recent Ukrainian education system is on its molding stage and value  education  content  is  its  starting  point  for discussion, elapsed experience  of  school  value  education development in  western countries, where educational ‘know-hows’ occurred progressively, makes a particular interest.

N. S. Khopta Experience in introducing a competency approach in the study of medical chemistry

https://doi.org/10.31174/SEND-PP2018-180VI74-07

Abstract. In recent years, new students come to the students’ classrooms who hade a sufficient level of theoretical knowledge of chemistry, since they have passed an independent certification of the subject in the form of external testing. However, they can not successfully apply theoretical knowledge  in  the  new  learning  environment,  to  solve  specific  practical  problems  when  studying  a  professionally  oriented  course  of  medical chemistry. Therefore, the transition to innovative technologies, in particular, the application of a competent approach in studying the subject helps to overcome these difficulties. Also, the problem of increasing the gap between the large volume of knowledge intended to study and the ability of students to thoroughly assimilate and apply them, that is, the formation of appropriate competences from the subject, is also acute. Increasing the effectiveness of learning can be achieved by involving students in independent educational and research activities, the purpose of which is the development of mental abilities, the realization of creative potential, the equipping of future specialists with the skills and abilities to independently acquire knowledge, solving the tasks that face them. When studying the subject “Medical Chemistry” we use different forms of training, which are of a research nature, promote the development of special competences. In this case, the role of the teacher is important, as he organizes and directs the independent work of students, helps and adjusts, if necessary, their actions.

https://doi.org/10.31174/SEND-PP2018-180VI74-18

Abstract. In scientific psychological discourse, conflict-related competence is often viewed as a qualitative characteristic and an important component of the individual able to adequately evaluate surrounding reality based on the acquired knowledge. In the context of reforming modern system of education, the main purpose of which is to create conditions for development, self-realization of the individual and ensuring the high quality of education, the problem of conflict competence of students as an ability to resolve and overcome conflict situations in the environment of higher education institutions is actualized. The problem must be solved in connection with the existing contradiction between the objective needs of practical activities and the level of development students’ personal characteristics: conflict resistance, empathy, self-confidence, the level of communicative control, etc. The need for studying the peculiarities of students’ conflict resistance development is caused by the fact that the influence of various factors on the emergence, occurrence and resolution of conflicts in the educational environment of higher educational institutions remains beyond the attention of researchers. The aim of the study is to diagnose students’ conflictual competence. The analysis of structural components reveals the level of formation for determining the appropriate methods of conflict competence development. To achieve these aims, the diagnostic methods were used: the diagnostic test of K.Tomas ‘Assessment of the person’s tendency to conflict behavior’ (an adapted variant of the method by N.Grishina), V. Boyka’s diagnostic test ‘Diagnostics of the level of empathic abilities’ (adapted variant by I. Yusupov), G. Lozhkin’s and N. Povyakel’s diagnostic test, “Assessment of preparedness for negotiations and conflict resolution”, M. Snyder’s diagnostic test “Assessment of communicative control in communication”. The results of the conducted research reveal the level of development of future psychologists’- university students’ conflict competence by motivational, activity, personal, communicative and constructive components. The highest indicators were recorded within the communicative component, and the lowest within the motivational and activity component. The reproductive and intuitive levels of conflict competence development are prevailing for students.
