https://doi.org/10.31174/SEND-PP2020-228VIII92-07

Abstract. The main task of education is to prepare young people for changes in the society which they should be able to respond in a non-standard and flexible way. Modern society is characterized by a change in the structure of economic markets, the development of new  technologies, including  the rapid  development  of  information  technology,  the  implementation of  new  scientific  results  in  the practical activity of people. The labor markets dictate certain requirements for university graduates, such as adaptability, professionalism, flexibility, readiness for continuous learning. The changes taking place in the modern society require continuous improvement of the educational space, defining new learning goals according to the national demands and social, personal needs and interests. All these factors highlight the need to revise the old educational standards and develop new ones. It is obvious that educational doctrine should  include the levels of  secondary and higher education. The new national reform aims to train professionals who  are able to work in constantly changing conditions. The teachers are faced with new tasks of students’ knowledge and competencies formation, necessary for their further qualitative and effective work activity. Thus, structural changes in education systems are caused by the need of transition from subject-oriented learning to result-oriented learning, the demand for non-formal education, i.e. the ability to integrate traditional education with new approaches to learning. In this regard, the training approaches, which will develop and ensure students’ independent thinking and contribute to realizing their individual capabilities, are becoming of high priority.

N. Kharchenko The particularities of value orientations of teenagers and young people

https://doi.org/10.31174/SEND-PP2020-228VIII92-13

Abstract. The article states that value orientations are an intrinsic component of human consciousness and  self-consciousness, and they perform complex and diverse regulatory functions in reference to the individual and society as a whole. It has been stated that independence is the most important type of value for adolescents, followed by safety, universalism and kindness and conformity. The last positions are occupied by traditions and power. The adolescents desire autonomy, independence; they want to reduce uncertainty, they  do  not  care  about  cultural  and  family  traditions  and  dominance  over  others.  The  additionality  of  value  orientations  among adolescents is shown: most values are in different planes but are located close by each other. Conflict of values among adolescents is established due to the opposite direction of values independence  – security. It has  been demonstrated that young people strive for autonomy and independence, desire their own success and do not care about the fullness of life experiences, domination over others and cultural and family traditions. It is stated that the conflict between values is more expressed among the young people: the most important values are on the different axes: openness to change (autonomy) and self-affirmation (achievement). The value of security lies in the opposite plane of independence and universalism. The values of kindness and conformism are additional. The value of “stimulation”, which is additional to independence, occupies almost the last rank in the hierarchy. It is stated that young people use contradictory criteria to choose and justify their actions.

O. Odnostalko Emotionally orientated nature of representations wherein expressed resilience resources

https://doi.org/10.31174/SEND-PP2020-228VIII92-14

Abstract. The article states that the perception of environmental incentives generates subjective perception of the situation, which is reflected in the representations within the actual chronotype in the mode of “here and now” during the COVID – 19 pandemic. It is stated that most people have no experience of going through a pandemic and are unfamiliar with the features of life during the period of social exclusion, and that attraction of the resources necessary to preserve their identity is one of the important tasks of the person during this period. The subjective perception of the situation is divided into two groups: those who represent the situation as: “psychologically difficult” and “average, nothing special”. It has been found that this distribution of representations is emotionally orientated in the examined group, who evaluates the situation as  psychologically  difficult.  It  is  revealed  that  there  are  no  statistical  differences  between  the  examined  groups  by  variables:  optimism, resilience, peculiarities of behavior. It is shown that subjects show anxiety on the middle-level, most of them are optimists and those who have average and above-average levels of resilience, they are resolute and active in behavior, they prefer action over thinking in difficult situations of life. It was stated that the difference between the groups was found in the “age” variable. The resilience resources are more expressed in the group aged over 40 as a result of their own experience.

https://doi.org/10.31174/SEND-PP2020-228VIII92-16

Abstract. The article deals with the problem of personal characteristics of a person that have a significant influence on the process of self-realization.  Analyzing  different  aspects  of  the  personality,  we  pay  special  attention  to  its  emotional  –  volitional  qualities, motivational  –  value  attitudes  and  self  –  awareness.  An  important  aspect  of  a  teacher’s  professional  activity  is  self-regulation  of emotional state. The need for self-regulation arises when the teacher is confronted with a new, unusual, difficult-to-solve problem that  does  not  have  an  unambiguous  solution  or  involves  several  alternatives.  Self-regulation  is  necessary  in  situations  where  the teacher is in a state of heightened emotional and physical stress, which leads him to impulsive actions, or if he is in a situation of evaluation by children, colleagues, other people. Psychological bases of self-regulation of emotional state include management, both cognitive processes and personal: behavior, emotions and actions. The self-regulation of each of these mental processes, properties and  states  of  a  person  is  connected  with  the  will  and  the  internal  language.  Internal  language  is  known  to  serve  as  a  basis  for arbitrariness in the management of all psychic phenomena, and the will ensures the preservation of focus and vigor.
