H. Hladii Social Models of Behavior of Persons Released from Prisons in Christian Rehabilitation Centers

https://doi.org/10.31174/SEND-PP2018-174VI72-10

Abstract. There are presented the results of empirical study on the issue of resocialization of persons released from prisons who were proceeding rehabilitation in Christian centers (CRC). The theoretical aspects of this issue from the viewpoint of native and foreign scientific materials are analyzed. According to the empirical study runned by “Definition of predisposition to deviant behavior” by O.M. Orel and “Sense-life Orientations” by D.O. Leontiev methods, and mathematical and statistical methods at the beginning and after the rehabilitation course in CRC, it was found out the positive prosocial changes in behavior models for both men and women. For the analysis of obtained results, the statistical data processing was carried out, and the most significant characteristics of changes in  the  social behavior  models  of  the  respondents  were  selected.  By  discussing  the  results  of  the  study,  the  scientific  value  of  the research was substantiated, namely, it was first empirical study conducted on persons who have served their sentence, have become free citizens of society and have undergone a rehab course at Christian rehabilitation centers.

Keywords: persons released from prisons, rehabilitation process, social models of behavior, predisposition to deviant behavior, Christian rehabilitation centers.

Ya. V. Ivanova Structural-dynamic analysis of passionarity in the context of adaptive determination

https://doi.org/10.31174/SEND-PP2018-174VI72-11

Abstract. The theoretical analysis of works devoted to the problem of passionarity, made it possible to define it as the person’s tendency to transform reality (environment  change),  aimed  at  the  implementation  of  a  functionally  stable  goal  in  the  space  of  solving  an  existential problem. The purpose of this  study is theoretical substantiation of the  model of adaptive determination of passionarity  and its  empirical verification. In the research theoretical, empirical, mathematical and statistical methods were used. The model of adaptive determination of passionarity reveals the influence of adaptability on phenomenology, mechanisms, structure and internal dynamics of passionarity.

O. S. Nedybaliuk, N. Yu. Maksymova Peculiarities of the juvenile convicts’ behaviour in a frustrating situation

https://doi.org/10.31174/SEND-PP2018-174VI72-13

Abstract. The article deals with the problem of resocialization of juvenile convicts through the development of their assertive behaviour. The connection between the assertiveness and a  certain  correlation of  the  adolescent’s  reaction to the frustrating situation is proved. The method of  detecting the reaction  to  frustration  in  adolescents  based  on  the  modification  of  the  frustration  test  by S. Rosenzweig has been developed. The types of behaviour strategies are determined in accordance with the parameters of assertiveness: assertive, non-assertive, aggressive, contradictory, unformed.  The results show that the juvenile convicts detect considerably less strategies for assertive behaviour in comparison with the children of school age. The schoolchildren behave aggressively more often than the juvenile convicts do. At the same time, the level of non-assertive behaviour among the schoolchildren is more than three times lower.

Keywords: resocialization, juvenile convicts, frustrating situations, assertiveness, adolescents.

А. B. Sokolova Emotional burnout as a risk factor for desocialization of parents educating children with Down syndrome

https://doi.org/10.31174/SEND-PP2018-174VI72-14

Abstract.  The  results  of  the  empirical  study  of  the  features  of  emotional  burnout  of  parents  educating  children  with  Down syndrome are presented. The emotional burnout of the individual can not be explained purely by medical categories, leading to psychological  factors:  conflicts  at  work,  financial  problems,  increased  workload,  and  for  women  –  even  homework.  The  most widespread  in psychological  science  is  the  study  of  the professional  aspects of  emotional burnout,  and  the  category  of  parent s educating children with Down syndrome, although they are at risk for the formation of emotional burnout, have not been studied in  psychological  science.  Most urgent problems  for parents of children  with  Down  syndrome  at  the time  of  the  survey  are  the desire to restrict their professional duties and incomplete adequacy of emotional response. If these symptoms manifest together, parents seek to restrict their professional activities, minimize other work and engage only children. Has been established that the resistivity phase is formed in parents to a greater extent than other components of emotional burnout. Inside this phase, accordin g to the prevalence among the researchers studied, there is inadequate emotional response and reduction of responsibilities, wh ich are likely to reinforce each other.
